Recreation Classes

Dancin' Off Broadway offers Recreation Classes for dancers ages 3 & up, beginner through intermediate, who want to experience dance in a friendly, non-competitive environment. These dancers have class once a week and participate in combination classes consisting of ballet, tap and jazz. Dancers in these classes will perform in the Christmas and Spring recitals. Classes are structured using age-appropriate choreography, technique and music. These classes are divided by age and provide a learning environment for dancers with similar mental and physical maturity that helps to nurture friendships for years to come.

Competitive Classes

Dancin' Off Broadway's competitive division offers dance for the more advanced dancers who are looking for a more challenging, rigorous dance experience. These dancers have class one or more times a week and participate in all styles of dance. Along with performing in the Christmas and Spring recitals, these dancers compete in regional and national competitions each year. Dancers must audition each year to earn their place on a competition team, and teams are chosen by both age and ability level. These dancers work hard as a team, and in the process create lifelong friendships and memories.

Ballet

New to Dancin' Off Broadway, our ballet classes provide a wide range of ballet technique and terminology set in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Your student will be encouraged to explore his or her creativity through ballet-based activities and week-by-week improve their confidence—not to mention their dancing! All students are welcome, whether new to ballet or long-time dancers.

Acro

From introductory to intermediate, this new genre of classes focuses on strength and flexibility through acrobatic dance. Dancers will move from the basics, such as handstands and cartwheels, to more difficult skills like walkovers and handsprings. The ever-increasing presence of acrobatics in the dance world has made this one of our most popular new classes.

Dancin Dads

The Dancin Dads have become a highlight in the Dancin Off Broadway performances. Fathers practice once a week, approximately 6 weeks prior to the show. No dance experience is required to join this fun, entertaining group!
