Alan Lawinger

Alan has been a part of the DOB family for as long as he can remember, and with four daughters growing up in the studio that’s a VERY long time. Though he’s not a trained dance instructor, he’s been known to shake his groove thing on the Dancin’ Dads floor a time or two… or twenty. His favorite Dads routine was his first year – “The Evolution of Dance.” He stumbled into the role of lead prop guy years and years ago and hasn’t been able to find a way out of it since. Our most inventive and expansive props have been designed and made by this guy, and we are forever grateful. When he’s not busy making props or fixing everything under the sun at the studio, he can be found running his main gig – Centre Pallet and Lumber, Inc. – in Sauk Centre, MN or hanging out with his grandbabies for “Mondays with Papa” while all of the girls are at the studio.
